Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
    • Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
    • Completion of an accredited MLT program.
  • Certification and Licensing:
    • Certification by a recognized certifying body such as the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
    • State licensure, if required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and performing standard laboratory tests.
    • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality control procedures.
