This TalentCloud requires data scientists with strong expertise in finance and actuarial who can solve a variety of important problems in the industry. This TalentCloud seeks experts with extensive knowledge of data science as well as financial markets. Data scientists with 3+ years of experience in fintech are preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficient in Python
- 3+ years of experience in finance, actuarial, or a related field
- Extensive experience with quantitative research, optimization, statistical models, time series analysis, forecasting, and back-testing
- Extensive experience with scikit-learn, statsmodels, SciPy, ffn, quantecon,
- Expert in supervised (classification, regression) and unsupervised machine learning (anomaly detection, cluster analysis)
- Proficient in building/ tuning/ testing models using machine learning and deep learning algorithms including tree-based methods, Bayesian models, support vector machines, feed forward networks, recurrent neural networks, and convolutional neural networks
- Expert in feature engineering and dimensionality reduction methods
- Expert in pre-processing data including dealing with anomalies and outliers, dealing with missing values, flooring/ capping, and data transformations
- Hands-on experience writing data processing and data pipeline for structured and unstructured data model development
- Expert in statistical models such as regression analysis, survival analysis, and time series analysis
- Proficient in SQL
- Experience with text-related packages in Python such as NLTK, spaCy, and Gensim
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Comfortable working independently
- Familiarity with version control, especially Git/GitHub

- 5+ years of experience in finance, actuarial, or a related field
- Experience with econometric models such as panel data analysis and vector autoregression
